Waukesha Water Rates & Harrogate Owner Impact - Just because our owners never get to see a water bill, you may get the idea that Harrogate water is free. Last year, our water and sewer cost was 15.7% of our total operating cost and that will increase this year. Harrogate water use has increased 20% since 2012 and costs have increased 75% while Waukesha water & sewer rates are expected to increase again this year. Hopefully, this introduction will make you aware of the problem we and other Waukesha home owners are facing. Garbage and Recycling
2025 Residential Garbage & Recycling Transition - The City of Waukesha's current residential garbage and recycling contract with Waste Management is set to expire on March 28, 2025. Check here for updates. At this time, not changes are likely to apply to Harrogate. Expect more information from our property manager.
Attention! - Please refer to safeneedledisposal.org for proper disposal of medical sharps and needles. Do not put them in the trash.
Advance Disposal will not collect any trash or recycling that is not containerized. Recycling materials must be placed in the recycle bin. Garbage must be bagged and placed in a container. Loose of bagged items placed on the ground will not be picked up. All bulky item pickup/collection is suspended until further notice. Click here for details.
The normal collection day for Harrogate is Friday. Should a Public Holiday* fall Monday through Friday, the collection will occur on Saturday. Place your garbage and recycle containers at the end of your driveway by 6:30 am on pick up day. Because the collection is manual, the gross weight of any individual item or container should not exceed 50 pounds. Note: * Pickup day remains Friday for weeks with Federal (e.g., bank) Holidays.
It is not necessary to separate paper, cardboard and other recyclables. All recycled materials can be in the same blue bin. Cardboard must be flat and reduced dimensionally to be easily handled. Paper, metal and plastic food containers and bottles need to be empty, rinsed and reasonably clean. Prohibited items or items not properly prepared for recycling will not be picked up. You can also arrange for pick up of large bulky items (e.g., furniture, appliances or a mattress) with Waste Management.
Recycle collection frequency remains at every other week. Pick up for Harrogate is on the blue Friday or Saturday as shown in the Recycle Calendar below.
